In my country China, citizens are not allow to own any kind of guns, only military and police department can own guns. As an international student in America, I know that gun control is a big big problem in United States. I still remember the day Feb 14th,2018. That day was Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year. It supposed to be a happy day, but a devil took 17 lives at Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school, which just a few miles away from my high school. I have studied in America for four years, and at least five mass shooting happened. Guns can protect people but also can hurt people. The government have to make the gun laws stricter as soon as possible.

“New Zealand, the place where I live. Our peace was shattered last Friday by the acts of one white supremacist terrorist. What is worse, there was a third target, a Muslim children school that was not reached through the actions of our police force, normally not armed. At least our Prime Minister, contrary to some other leaders, here and abroad, showed character and sympathy. Sympathy by being there and personally comforting survivors. Character by urgently making the sale of weapons designed to kill indiscriminately prohibited from the day, and becoming law within a few weeks. With full support of the majority of the population. There is no need for them. Today was the service, countrywide observed, for those that were taken away, through no fault of them except for having a different religion. Peace be with them. And let this be a lesson for the whole world. Hate has no place in today’s world”
Wish decedents rest in peace and survivals be strong. Bad thing already happened, we can not change the past, but we can change now to prevent same thing happen again. New Zealand Prime Minister is doing the right thing that prohibit guns. On the contrary, American government seem they don’t realize that they are making a big mistake. After so many mass shooting happened, they are still doing nothing.
